Rod Hisken Eventful Acres owner and first Chairman of the Monterey Horse Park (2002 - 2007) is passionate about the mission of the horse park - to preserve land for equestrian activities and public recreation; to provide a venue to host local, national and international competitions, training and education; to ensure that this extraordinary land in this unique setting will be enjoyed by future generations. Rod's facility, Eventful Acres is a 35 acre equestrian facility in Oregon House, California located in the beautiful, rural, Sierra Foothills.

Ms. Allen has been active in the equestrian community as a competitor, breeder, trainer, author, course designer and consultant for over 30 years. The winner of numerous prestigious awards as a competitor and course designer, she has designed the show jumping courses for international events including the 1996 Olympic Games and the 1999 World Breeding Championships, and served as the Technical Delegate for the International Equestrian Federation (FEI) at the 1999 Pan American Games and the 1994 World Equestrian Games. |

Cribbs is the President and CEO of BASOC, which submitted the bid to bring the 2012 Olympic Games to the San Francisco Bay Area, a catalyst for the creation of the Monterey Horse Park. An Olympian, entrepreneur and civic leader, Ms. Cribbs brings over 20 years of sports management experience to the Monterey Horse Park. She received her AA degree from Foothill College, where she won the Outstanding Female Graduate Award, and continued to earn her Bachelor’s Degree from Stanford University in Political Science. She was inducted into the San Jose Sports Hall of Fame as an Olympian and a Trailblazer - for her efforts as a co-founder of the American Basketball League - the ABL and her support of women's sports. |

Brian C. Boudreau

Mr. Boudreau owns Malibu Valley Farms in Calabasas where he began as Farm Manager in 1978, caring for over 100 cows, 70 horses, 50 sheep and 50 goats. Working with an equine veterinarian he established the farm as a premier breeding and foaling facility, recognized in 2006 by Thoroughbred Times as the top breeder in California. A dedicated conservationist, in 1976 he designed a water reclamation system with the Municipal Water District to irrigate pastures and keep Malibu Beach clean. More recently his farm was honored with an award from Los Angeles County for having the best waste management program of any farm in the County. His other affiliations include the Santa Monica Mountains Trails Council, the San Diego and Santa Barbara Polo Clubs, the Los Angeles County Farm Bureau and Thoroughbred Owners of California. He and his wife and their three daughters are all avid equestrians. |

Ian C. Gillis

Mr. Gillis is President of Urban Community Partners, LLC which he co-founded to promote smart growth and the use of sustainable planning and building practices as an alternative to urban and suburban sprawl. He is a graduate of the University of Greenwich in London and is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. Consistent with his commitment to the creation of communities with walkable neighborhoods and protected open space, he is a professional member of the Prince’s Foundation for the Built Environment and a member of the Congress for New Urbanism. His firm has been helping with the conversion of Ft. Ord’s East Garrison into a mixed use mixed income community in line with his vision. He is also a Director of the Community Housing Trust of Monterey County and the Seaside [Florida] Institute. From Oxford, England, he makes his home with his wife Mercita at the former Hamilton Air Force Base in Marin County which has become the restored Hamilton neighborhood of Novato.
Mercita is an avid Equestrian whose discipline is Dressage.

Tim G. Eastman

Dr. Eastman joined Steinbeck Country Equine Clinic, a full service equine care facility in Salinas, CA., in 2002. Board certified in Equine Surgery, he is committed to round the clock equine care, using the most advanced technology. A 1991 Graduate of Cal Poly in Animal Sciences with a business minor and a 1996 Graduate of UC Davis with a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine and a masters in Preventative Veterinary Medicine, he did his internship at the Littleton Large Animal Clinic in Littleton, Colorado and his 3 year surgical residency at Texas A & M. He is a native of Salinas. |

Myron E. (“Doc”) Etienne, Jr.

Mr. Etienne is the senior partner in the law firm of Noland, Hamerly, Etienne & Hoss and has practiced since 1953. Recently inducted into the Pro Rodeo Cowboy Hall of Fame, he is actively involved in the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association and has been a member of the Board of Directors of the California Rodeo, headquartered in Salinas, California since 1962. Mr. Etienne is a graduate of the United States Merchant Marine Academy and received his law degree from the University of California Hastings College of Law.

Mr. Hendrick is a partner in the law firm of Thelen Reid Brown Raysman & Steiner LLP and specializes in insurance coverage matters in domestic and international markets. Mr. Hendrick, who is a recreational rider, his wife (eventing and combined driving competitor) and daughter (eventing and college equestrian team) own and care for seven horses. A graduate of the University of Illinois, he earned his law degree at Harvard Law School and began to practice law at Thelen following active duty in the United States Navy. |

Loris A. Henry

Ms. Henry is a life-long equestrian who began her career by obtaining her British Horse Society Assistant Instructor certificate at Burton Hall in Ireland. She is a USA Eq "R" Combined Training judge an FEI “C” Eventing judge and a USA Eq "S” Dressage judge and has earned Bronze and Silver USDF Medals. Ms. Henry was president of the California Dressage Society 1984-86 and is a former President of the United States Eventing Association and served on its Board of Governors from 1991 - 2001.

Barbra I. Higgins

Ms. Higgins is an accountant and attorney, specializing in business consulting. Currently President of Higgins Arana Business CPR, based in Oakland, providing small businesses with a COO/CFO, analyzing companies’ current positions, creating plans to guide owners in implementation, and measuring the results through financial performance. Director of the 2002 Modern Pentathlon World Championships held at Stanford University, Ms. Higgins serves on the Bay Area Sports Hall of Fame Board of Directors as Grants Committee Chairperson and on the Northern California Olympian Board of Directors as Treasurer. A graduate of Florida International University, she earned her law degree at the University of Miami School of Law. She was a member of the 1984 Panamanian Olympic Fencing Team and is a frequent motivational speaker for school assemblies and community service clubs.

Jay E. Hubert

Mr. Hubert is retired from the California State Board of Equalization. He and his wife have been breeding and showing Registered Welsh Ponies for over 30 years. In the 1980’s, he was introduced to Carriage Driving and began to compete in American Driving Society pleasure shows. That led to Combined Driving competition and then to tandem driving with his home bred Section A Welsh mares. He was elected to the ADS Board in 2001 and currently serves as Chair of the Safety & Education Committee. He is a CDE course designer, a former USEF (ASHA) steward and member of the Board of the Welsh Pony and Cob Society of America. He is also proud to be a founding director of Project R.I.D.E., Inc., a therapeutic riding and driving program in Elk Grove, California. |

Charles L. Lloyd, III

Mr. Lloyd, an eventing competitor, is a past President of the United States Eventing Association and served on the Board of Directors of USA Equestrian and on the Board of Trustees and the Executive Committee of the United States Equestrian Team. Mr. Lloyd has extensive business experience and has managed companies in both the software and equestrian industries. A graduate of Stanford University, Mr. Lloyd went on to do graduate work at the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service before founding his first company.

Camille Stahl Penhoet

Ms. Penhoet is a native of the Monterey Peninsula who competed in eventing to the Advanced level under the legendary horseman and eventing coach at Pebble Beach, Dick Collins. While on the Board of Directors of the California Dressage Society, she became a founding member of the United States Dressage Federation. She currently competes in FEI sanctioned dressage competitions on the West Coast. Camille and her husband own Toyon Farm, a dressage training center in Napa, California. She earned B.A. and M.A. degrees from Stanford University and the M. Ed. degree from the University of Washington in Seattle. |
